Zytera
Zygofer was a powerful sorcerer who was known for his association with dark forces. During the Fourth Alder War, he was called upon by the enemy army to use his powers to turn the tide of the battle.
It is said that Zygofer summoned a horde of demons, who slaughtered King Algarod and the Alderlander army, securing a victory for the enemy. In order to solidify the alliance between the two sides, Zygofer and his daughter, Therania, agreed to merge with a demon prince to form the being known as Zytera.
Zytera was a man-spider hybrid, with the body of a man and the legs of a spider. It was said that the creature was incredibly powerful and possessed great magical abilities. The Rust Brothers, a group of worshippers of the god Rust, venerated Zytera as a prophet and saw it as a powerful symbol of their faith.
According to legend, Zytera still rules the holdfast of Vond, from which it sends out the demonic creatures that haunt the Forbidden Lands. Many fear the monstrosity and avoid the western regions of the Forbidden Lands, lest they fall victim to the creatures that dwell within.
