Brildi

Brildi is the aasimar daughter of the astral deva Eirwyn. It is reflected in her striking physical appearance, especially in her gilded bronze skin. Her father is the solar Viryn.   When Helm was slain by Tyr in the late 1300s DR, Eirwyn, the deva devoted to Helm, was imprisoned by Viryn under command of Tyr to cover up Tyr’s divine blunder. Loyal to the end, Viryn ignored the obvious lack of justice, the complete irony. Over the years, with checkups on Eirwyn, they grew an unusual bond. By the Second Sundering, he gladly released her, standing up to Tyr and setting him straight, reminding him of how justice should be carried out. He denounced his divine status as a show of defiance to Tyr, announcing he would raise his coming child on the Material Plane, and he would come back when Helm was ready for him. Eirwyn gave birth to Brildi in the realm year 1473 DR, and sent her with Viryn to Helm’s Hold, the last remaining bastion of Helm’s dwindling followers.    Viryn raised her to the best of his capabilities until the Ashmadai attack on Helm’s Hold in 1480. He was always suspicious of Rohini, since he had never heard anything of Helm’s return even on Mount Celestia. This could have been due to Lord Ao’s mysteriousness, especially with the Second Sundering. In the end, there was no way for him to verify. His suspicions ended up being true, and Helm’s Hold was overrun. Rohini slew Viryn, while a young Brildi watched, terrified from afar. After a few weeks of hiding in the few safe places left in Helm’s Hold, eventually Rohini and her followers were all driven out of Helm’s Hold thanks to the Heroes of Sleeping Dragon Bridge. From then on, she entirely focused her life on helping the needy and rebuilding her home. The people of Helm’s Hold had their greatest victory within the following decade of their most terrible defeat when Helm resumed his position. Brildi now felt stronger than ever before, thanks to Helm’s return and her parents’ divine blood coursing through her veins. By the end of 1492, at the age of 19, she traveled to Waterdeep to help reestablish Helm’s foothold there. In a turn of events, she ended up reclaiming Neverember’s hidden gold underneath the city. She recruited a gold dragon to secretly watch over Helm’s Hold and used the gold she earned to hasten the rebuilding process. By the year 1494, the city had been all but restored, and Brildi was granted the title of Speaker, becoming an important figure in the politics of the Sword Coast.         D&D Beyond Character Sheet Link (Dragon Heist) https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/15963591 D&D Beyond Character Sheet Link (Descent into Avernus) https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/40880097
