General Summary

Part 3: The Spider's Web (continued)

1. The session started with the party clearing out the Thundertree barracks of ash zombies
2. After having defeated the dragon cultists, the party was able to persuade Reidoth the druid to assist in bringing down the dragon Venomfang
3. Devising a plan to lure the dragon to the town square and assault it in the open there, the party launched their attack and were able to defeat the dragon
4. Abcde took the head of the slain dragon and worked on it to remove the flesh and organs and prepare the skull for use as a mask
5. The party found loot within the dragon's hoard, including some spell scrolls which had belonged to the wizard who originally owned the tower, as well as the magic axe, Hew
6. Returning to Phandalin, the party delivered the requested information from the banshee Agatha to Sister Garaele and were rewarded with three potions of healing
7. The party then brought the long lost family heirloom to Mirna Dendrar, who insisted the party keep it as a reward for rescuing her and her kids from captivity by the Redbrands
8. Mirna Dendrar mentioned that Sildar Hallwinter had been looking for the party who in turn mentioned that Grista wished to apologize to the party and make amends
9. Suspecting a trap, the party went to the Sleeping Giant tap house and spoke with Grista and sprung the trap inside
10. Waiting with a group of bandits to capture the gnomes were Kellen and Grom from the plantation from which the gnomes had escaped, seeking to bring them back
11. Without wasting any time on words, the party attacked and defeated their once captors and Abcde went back outside to murder Grista and drag her body inside the tap house
12. The session ended as Dargi revived and bound Kellen
