Satyrwood
Long ago the forest that spanned the southern shores of the Vilhon Reach was known as the Satyrwood by its Elvish inhabitants. Owing to the boundary between the Prime material plane and the Feywild being weaker than any other place in Faerun, this forest was rumored to have outposts of many Fey creatures living within it.
When the human kingdoms arose that vied for control of the area, they renamed the forest the Chondalwood, after the Chondathian empire that the Wainar kings founded. Since the fall of their empire, and the destruction of the Spellplague, the forest has once again taken on its original name.
