GM Report - Peryton & Hobgoblin Troubles

General Summary

Day Six

As the caravan is traveling, some of the party members see two creatures circling above. The perytons tried to swoop in on the party, but were quickly handled by the experienced adventurers. Dillion asks Hjolgarn to keep an eye on Larion and to possibly ply him with alcohol. Hjolgarn agrees and proceeds to offer some of his wagon's wares to Larion on a daily basis. The rest of the party spends the day guarding their merchants and looking for herbs or denoting ore locations for later use.

Day Eight

As the caravan is rounding a slight curve, they come across some Urshani hobgoblins who've pinned down a wagon and it's merchant/guards. The merchant and his guards are sheltered under the wagon, with crates dragged between the wheels for cover. While they are well supplied, they are cowards when faced with such overwhelming numbers of enemies. The hobgoblins are enjoying their fear as they wait for nightfall to really move in for the kill. The party come to the rescue once again. It's a difficult fight as the hobgoblins have some formidable tactics when working as a group. Benjamin's time was almost cut short when one of the hobgoblins managed to get some very direct and powerful shots in on him. During this fight, Dillion uses his Reweave ability, which causes Dillion to pause for a few moments. Ben talks to the merchant after the battle, who offers him 4 pieces of armor for their assistance and saving them. Dillion talks to the wood carvers about creating/fixing a wheel for the wagon so it can get back on the road. Hjolgarn helps move the wagon and get it back to rights. Chenna brings the extra horse for the merchant. As everyone is working to assist the merchant, Dillion notices there are worms in the silk. Nyerhite is overcome with grief at the loss of his goods. Dillion purges the worms by burning everything from the wagon. While the armor merchant's wagon is being repaired, his good have been moved to the newly cleansed silk merchant's wagon.
