Backstory

After being educated as a wizard, Beelz returned to his small village near Neverwinter. As fate would have it, the village was experiencing an issue with bandits at the time he arrived. These bandits were a small time operation and not particularly sophisticated or well equipped. Had Beelz showed up later, it's likely the militia would have dealt with them. Fortunately for Beelz, he did not arrive later. Through clever use of his spellcasting abilities, he "saved" the village from the bandit threat and was hailed as a hero. This immediately went straight to his head. He became convinced that he had a destiny as a hero, and set out to find it.

Physical Appearance

Beelz was large by the standards of forest gnomes. He stood just under three feet tall and weighed 35 lbs, a veritable giant among his own kind.

Equipment

Beelz was very fond of three items: His hat of wizardry, his wand of wonder, and a crystal crown once belonging to the Dwarven king Melair he discovered iin Undermountain.

Personality

Beelz was an upbeat, optimistic, and naive individual, constantly convinced that things would work out for the best. He always wanted to help people, even when doing so would interfere with larger goals.

Goals & Motivations

Beelz wants to be a hero, plain and simple. He views the challenges put in his way as ordained by fate, all leading him towards his inevitable heroic tale.

History

Beelz was part of the party that cleared the Forge of Fury, who would later go on into Undermountain (Mad Mage Contestants).
