Strange Lands
A Shorter journal entry today as the people encountered seemed more important than the journey taken. Loy happened into the fellows who traveled to and cleared out the mine, The dwarven sharpshooter Rurik Stone-eye, the human brawler Godfrey, and the elven naturalist Tonnia. Rurik seemed to be of an exceptional sort, quite accurate and adept at surprise attacks made most of our fights easier, if a dwarf could receive a blessing of gruumsh it would be this one. Tonnia seemed capable but ultimately too fresh to truely be judged, continued observation on that may prove their worth. Godfrey, what can I say about Godfrey, quite honestly I forgot Godfrey was even there. Godfrey never went into the fray nearly as much or as quick as myself or loy nor did he prove his talents at range. He may prove to be worth his weight but I will remain skeptical.
As for what we did, it wasn't much. We found a slain trapper camp and decided to take vengeance upon the goblins who killed them. The others seemed more interested in the gold of the trinkets rather than the proof of revenge.
The most important thing that came of this is I've passed along the message uncovered from the ghost coast to Rurik, as well Rurik seems to be starting an expedition to Chad's Resting. My own vengeance may soon be at hand.
For Chad

Ghastly Beginnings
New shore, new people, and already new tragedies. I have reached the town of Fairhaven and disembarked with new compatriots. The Paladin known as Loy Lightbearer and the Fighter Chad Boswick. Shortly off the rowboat we met with the harbor master, a half orc named Keith, it is good to see my half kin in a respected position in these lands, brings me hope for my own continues existence here. Keith would point us in the direction of the Fair Knight's Rest a local tavern owned by a dwarf named Arvel Durgedown. Outside of the tavern there is a community board which included a salvaging job in the ghost coast to our south. After Arvel pointed us to the individual, we shortly met the wizard Mintobar, who sent us to the ghost coast in order to salvage a portrait of his lost brother. We would depart shortly after meeting with the town's spiritual leader, a tortol named Misu, who blessed our journey and weapons.
The Ghost Coast's is a dangerous place where undead stalk the land, A precursor to the vision I received. Singular undead are easy to eliminate and avoid but combat quickly draws more from all around, Fights must be picked carefully for any future expeditions. Our first day into this land yielded us a strange letter and an unknown sigil. These being earned at the cost of our blood and if we were not quicker, our lives. The night was not restful, a storm was quickly beginning and a dry area was tough to find. The dead do not rest so vigilance must be keep through the night. The morning would lead us to the wreck that held the painting we were searching for. A brief bit of set up before venturing inside. There we would find stores of supplies the town could certainly use and a box containing many magical supplies and the painting this journey was in search of. Strapping this box to my back we prepaired to leave when specters would assail us, escape was all but impossible as the ghosts would drain our life as we sprinted past them. For myself and Loy we would find saftey on the shore, but for Chad, he would lose his life to these spirits.
That boat has not seen the last of me, The letter found raised too many questions that must have answers, and above all Chad must be avenged. To leave a battle brother behind is sacrilege, to leave them unavenged is blasphemy. On my honor i shall rectify these offenses, Gruumsh willing.

Travel to a new land
I've received a message, and a vision; Both similar and neither good. The visions are of the end of the world, Seas turning red with the blood of all beings, the skies turned black from the ashes of an all consuming fire, and even the dead will rise to fight forever after. The note offers similar statements, but does offer hope. "In a far off land there existed a people who have seen this calamity and have prepared to face it". So I left my tribe and venture further into the world of man in an effort to stave off the end of everything. I've scoured the libraries and universities across Faerun despite the peoples hatred and mistrust of me and my people and my own disgust at these people's "civilization". In my research I believe I have found where these people once lived. I journey now to the continent of Anchorome, to the settlement of Fairhaven to begin my search. I write of my travels now in hopes that if my life does end but my journey remains unfinished the world may yet be saved from this coming calamity.
