Revolt against the queen by the lords council leads to civil war.

The disapproval of the Queen of Relmaur by the lords of the Council of Five Pillars erupts into open revolt and civil war. Moonstone Pillar, Obsidian Pillar and Sapphire Pillar sided with Queen Surina, while Ruby Pillar and Emerald Pillar claimed Embervault and sided with the Council, led by Medrash Nemonis, Lord of the Ruby Pillar. With both sides evenly matched, a three-year standoff marked only by minor skirmishes ends with Queen Surina's surrender and betrothal to Medrash Nemonis.

The two are married within a tenday. Four tendays later, Surina bears an egg.
