Zombies sweep through the city of Velen.

Zombies sweep through the city of Velen, eventually spreading beyond the city walls and across the Cape of Velen. Athkatla declares a national emergency and blockades all travel into and out of the area. After several months, Velen returns to relative normal, but the travel around the Cape remains under tight restrictions by Athkatla.
