Saltoir

“In Gods we trust.” The island based Union of Saltoir is a collection of hundreds of islands that make up an archipelago. Most of the smaller islands are uninhabited or still unexplored but the larger ones adhere to the Saltorian Union and the Pearlescent Accords. The numerous island communities once stood as a mountain chain, known as the Celestial Mountains, before the Waking Days. But a magical cataclysm destroyed the landscape and flooded all that remained, leaving only the highest plateaus and mountains to crest the rolling waves. The archipelago is ruled by a ruling family as proxy to the Celestials who truly hold dominion over the island chain. Though they stayed neutral during the Long War, they were in favour of the Lynian invasion of Sidion and were prepared to commit Naval resources to the conflict before Sideon ended the conflict so abruptly. Once it had been revealed that Sidion had stolen Dragon Eggs from Lynia and bred them into super weapons the island union has remained at odds against the desert based super power. Too hesitant to challenge them directly and too afraid of what Sideon is capable of if they don’t utilize the dragons. Understandably so Saltoir represents the goodness of the world at large and because of this have a fierce rivalry with Sidion and hold anyone who sides with them into great contempt. The Aasimar race calls these islands home, for obvious reasons.
