Celestial Hall

The Celestial Hall once stood as a beacon of devotion and divine unity, a testament to the bond between the new gods and their worshippers. Built at the height of the gods’ influence, it was a massive structure of intricate beauty, decorated with symbols of the new gods and bound by spells of protection and sanctity. Within the Hall’s expansive corridors and vaulted chambers, worshippers from across the continent gathered to pay homage, celebrate festivals, and seek the blessings of these deities who were closer to humankind than any who had come before. The new gods themselves played an essential role in its creation, weaving pieces of their power into its foundation to allow for the occasional manifestation of their presence, making the Celestial Hall not only a place of worship but a physical bridge to the divine.

Encircling the Celestial Hall is the God Grove, a field of exquisite flowers that bloom year-round in vibrant, otherworldly colors. The grove is tended by the Beekeepers, a devout order entrusted with gathering the sacred nectar and honey from the grove’s unique blossoms. This nectar, imbued with traces of divine energy, is believed to grant rejuvenation and clarity to those who consume it, and devotees seek it to experience brief but intense moments of communion with the gods. During the Heavenly Clash, the grove and hall became the heart of the new gods’ campaign. It was here that their followers gathered to strategize, pray, and draw strength as the clash with the old gods unfolded, and the grove itself thrummed with divine energy, a powerful symbol of the gods’ determination to protect and guide their followers.

Yet since the Sundering, the Celestial Hall has grown eerily silent. The great doors to the inner temples, once revered as portals through which the gods themselves could step into the mortal realm, now stand sealed and dusty, unopened for over two centuries. The chambers that once echoed with chants and blessings now sit in dim, quiet disrepair, the divine energy that once filled the hall’s core faded. Though the Beekeepers still tend the grove, the flowers appear more muted in color, and the honey no longer carries the same potency, leaving devotees uncertain whether the gods still listen or have drifted beyond reach entirely. Still, the faithful return to the Celestial Hall year after year, hoping that the new gods will one day return to walk its hallowed halls again.
