Oceanfall

Rising like a monolith from the ocean's depths, Oceanfall is a vast obsidian tower crafted by the hands of the new gods, with Thalos, god of the sea, as its chief architect. Its sleek black spire cuts into the sky, stark and unyielding against the endless blue, while below it roars the perpetual force of the ocean itself: an immense, churning vortex encircles the tower, spiraling with such intensity that it has scoured away all sand and silt to reveal the ocean’s rockbed far beneath. The vortex is a warning and a weapon, a testament to the relentless power wielded by Oceanfall in its duty to protect the northern continents from the shadows of the old gods.

Oceanfall’s purpose is both simple and severe: it stands as the eternal guardian of the boundary between continents, a line unseen but universally understood by all who sail the seas. Legend holds that any vessel with ambitions to cross this boundary northward while bearing the taint of the old gods is doomed. Mighty storms converge upon such ships, the sky turning black as Oceanfall calls upon the wrath of Thalos and the waves themselves to dash any intruders to ruin. Those who revere Oceanfall often see the tower as a living fortress of divine retribution, its storms an extension of Thalos’ will, serving to halt any corruption that dares to venture across its borders.

In times past, sailors and followers of the new gods would sometimes glimpse great surges of energy emanating from the tower, signs of the battles it has waged in the ocean’s depths against the corrupting tendrils of the old gods. Though centuries have passed since the last attempt on the boundary, Oceanfall’s vigilance remains absolute, a silent and unstoppable force that ceaselessly guards the lands above.
