Silent Brook

Quiet village in the Snow Horn, with priests devoted to silence. The only time they speak, the words of their diety escape their lips, leaving some mad.

Located within a vast, echoing plain, this village is famed for its unsettling silence; sound carries strangely here, and voices are barely whispers. Villagers communicate in sign language and say that noise attracts “the Hollow Ones,” invisible creatures said to bring nightmares. Once a year, villagers gather to sing a hymn that fills the fields with sound, which supposedly keeps the Hollow Ones at bay.
