Willoway

A village surrounded by thorny brambles that grow at alarming rates. Locals harvest the barbed vines for various uses, including enchanted thread, which is said to offer protection. Every spring, the villagers cut back the thorns in a ceremony they call the "Reckoning," fearing that if left unchecked, the brambles might engulf them entirely.
