Pettiness

The demon Pettiness is one of the lower major demons in the Five Hundred Strong Legion known for their devotion to minor expressions of negativity towards other entities, such as snide remarks, purposefully "forgetting" to do something in order to cause irritation, or standing in the way of a goal simply to be contrary. They are drawn to people who commit such acts out of vengeance for minor irritations, squabbles, misunderstandings, and lapses of judgement. While Pettiness rarely lures victims into outright giving up their souls, they are highly successful at encouraging them down a slippery slope that can over a lifetime generate quite a bit of negative energy.
