Session 055: Of Mice and Men
General Summary
The party arrives at Aphid's childhood home, the Lukot manor. They kidnap Mossi. Aphid has a tense conversation with Grandma Lukot. She claims that she will never forgive Aphid if he goes without any consideration for his responsibilities. She ends up leaving the room as she tells Hawthorn to give Aphid whatever he needs for the journey.
Aphid departs to spend some time with Mossi at their spot in the Gleaming Wood. The rest of the party goes to check out the stone tablet where the Prophecy of Waking is inscribed. Hawthorn calls it the Dragonstone, as do the staff at Stone Home!, the establishment nearby that offers tours, food, pamphlets, and a book written by Jeremy Whittle and Anonymous. The group takes the tour and discover that a chunk fell out of the back of the stone. The chunk bears the symbol of the Grays. Hidden in the bushes by the stone is a Springish grave marker that reads (to Jack's eyes only) "In memory of those who gave their lives for the cause; never forget." Below the invisible writing is an equally invisible symbol of the Grays. Tal discovers a patch of disturbed earth over by the chunk and, himself invisible, digs up a box locked with a small brass lock with a plate covering the key hole.
