Homebrew Spells

1st Level

 

Doomwake's Ire

  Evocation
Components: SM (a rock or crystal worth 1 drachma)
Casting Time: 1 action
Duration: Instantaneous
Range: 30 feet
Classes: Druid, Ranger, Monk, Warlock, Sorcerer   You summon forth a manifestation of Gaia's anger. Roll a d4, firing a bolt of terror or decay at a target you can see within range.  
  1. The target spends its next action attacking a random target within melee range, or immediately provokes a ranged opportunity attack from any creatures within line of sight that are holding a ranged weapon. Creatures that are immune to being frightened are immune to this effect.
  2. The target takes 2d8 psychic damage. If the target is not at maximum hit points, it takes an additional 2d8 magical slashing damage, bleeding profusely for a round. Creatures that are immune to being charmed are immune to this effect.
  3. The target takes 2d8 poison damage. If the target is hit, additionally target the closest creature within 5 feet. If the second target is hit, additionally target the closest creature within 5 feet of the second target. Creatures that are immune to being poisoned are immune to this effect and cannot cause another creature to be targeted.
  4. The target takes 2d8 necrotic damage and ages a number of hours equal to twice the amount of damage it took. Creatures that are immune to sleep are immune to this effect.
 

Gift of Alacrity (CR)

  You touch a willing creature. For the duration, the target can add 1d8 to its initiative rolls.  

Magnify Gravity (CR)

Transmutation
Components: VS
Casting Time: 1 action
Duration: 1 round
Range: 60 feet
Classes: Artificer, Sorceror, Warlock, Wizard
  The gravity in a 10-foot-radius sphere centered on a point you can see within range increases for a moment. Each creature in the sphere on the turn when you cast the spell must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d8 force damage, and its speed is halved until the end of its next turn. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and suffers no reduction to its speed. Until the start of your next turn, any object that isn't being worn or carried in the sphere requires a successful Strength check against your spell save DC to pick up or move.   When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.  

Pulse Heal

Duration: 1 round (C)
Range: Touch
Classes: Artificer, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Paladin, Ranger   A creature you touch is infused with healing energy for the duration. When the duration ends, all creatures within 5 feet of the target are healed 5 hit points.   At higher levels, the healing increases by 5 per additional spell slot.  

Wristpocket (CR)

Duration: 1 hour (C)
Range: Self
Classes: Artificer, Bard, Sorceror, Rogue, Warlock, Wizard   You flick your wrist, causing one object in your hand to vanish. The object, which only you can be holding and can weigh no more than 5 pounds, is transported to an extradimensional space, where it remains for the duration. Until the spell ends, you can use your action to summon the object to your free hand, and you can use your action to return the object to the extradimensional space. An object still in the pocket plane when the spell ends appears in your space, at your feet.  

Regeneration

Duration: 1 minute (C)
Range: 60 feet
Classes: Artificer, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Ranger
  A creature you can see within range is imbued with healing regeneration of their life force, gaining 1d2 hit points every turn for the duration. (10d2 healing for a whole minute)   For every spell level above 1st, this spell does another 1d2 healing per round.  

Well of Force

Duration: Instantaneous
Range: 120 feet
Classes: Artificer, Bard, Sorceror, Warlock, Wizard
  Choose a point within range. All objects and creatures within a 30-foot radius are either pulled 20 feet towards the center, or pushed away. They go the full 20 feet if there is nothing stopping them, and if they reach the center they continue in the same direction the full distance. If a creature in this area hits an object, it takes 1d4 bludgeoning damage. This can be changed to a 60 foot long, 10 foot wide line.

Temporal Irregularity

Components: VSM (clock or other timekeeping object worth 50 drachma)
Casting Time: 1 action
Duration: 1 round
Range: 15 feet
Classes: Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard
  Targeting a creature in sight, you are able to partially fracture their reality. For the duration, nothing percievable happens, but after the duration expires the creature's health returns to what it was when the spell was cast and all conditions affecting the creature that were afflicted during the duration disappear. The creature also returns to the same location and position it was in when the spell was cast once the duration ends. Objects the creature throws or moves instantaneously return to where they were when the duration ends.   When you cast the spell at higher levels, increase the duration by 1 round per additional spell slot.  

Pestilence

Components: VSM (a preserved locust, fungus, or grub)
Casting Time: 1 action
Duration: 1 minute (C)
Range: 30 feet
Classes: Cleric, Druid, Ranger, Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard
  You point your finger at a creature within range, summoning a long dead plague under your control. The target must roll a Constitution save or be infected, receiving a d4 penalty to all Saving Throws and attacks while under the effect of this spell. Creatures that start their turn within 15 feet of infected creatures or move within 15 feet must make a Constitution save as well to avoid infection. You can make an ally within range automatically succeed on the saving throw a number of times equal to your spellcasting ability modifier.

Elatos' Gambit

Components: VSM (a cross-staff with an aquamarine hilt worth 500 decadrachm)
Casting Time: 1 minute
Duration: 1 minute
Range: Self (20 foot radius)
Classes: Bard, Cleric, Druid, Elementalist, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Wizard, Warlock
  You summon forth a vortex in the water below you, instantly teleporting everything within the radius of the spell to a point in water within 40 miles. For the duration of the spell you and all allies and objects within the radius receive 4d4 bonus hit points that grant you double speed while you have them. When you lose hit points by any means, heal for an equal amount. This spell immediately fails when cast more than 20 feet from a body of water equal in size to the radius or larger. All magical teleportation in the next day that targets or is casted by you fails.

Song of Harmony

Range: Self (30 foot radius)
Classes: Artificer, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Paladin
  An aura of magic envelops you, connecting up to five allies within range (this can include you or not). While tethered by this spell, any healing received heals all other tethered allies equal to half of the original healing. Allies that move out of range become untethered. You can move tethers at the start of your turn.

Well of Calamity

Duration: 1 minute (C)
Range: Self (15 foot radius)
Classes: Artificer, Sorceror, Warlock, Wizard
  You surround yourself with a well of powerful fateweaving magic that moves with you, making enemies within range destined to fail. Choose a score. For the duration of this spell, enemies that attempt to make an attack, saving throw, or skill check that uses this score automatically fail. This counts as a critical failure for applicable rolls.
