Esong Bird
Esong Birds are plump non-flight birds that are native to the continent of Haint, the same place where the Poly-Cats resides. These birds are extremely docile and are great to be kept as pets or cuddle buddy. Morever, they are extremely talkative, and loves to throw praises and encouragements to their owners if they are well taken care of. However, they also have unfiltered mouth if they are poorly treated and will not hesitate to torment their abusers with insults by mimicking the voices of the people.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Esong Birds are fat and sound. While some are legitimately fat, others can be found fat due to their feathers. They are small like a ball and often can be seen rolling about in dust and grass as they bathe. Depending on their diet, they would feel fat and heavy or light and fluffy.
Genetics and Reproduction
Male Esong Birds serenades the females using various voices they'd mimic and tap their feet to dance along. If the female is interested, they will tap their feet as well to follow the male's rhythm.

Once the song ends, the male will immediately rushes back to prep the den for the female to stay. Esong Birds mate for life even though one of the mates would die first.

Growth Rate & Stages
Esong hens will lay their eggs in the den and sits on them for months until they hatch. Once hatched, the hen will carry their chicks in their feathers as they do not have any feathers the moment they hatched. When they reach the 8th month of age, they will start walking besides the mother and wander off on their own.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Esong Birds will gorge themselves with food like worms, lizards, insects or seeds before hibernating during Winter. It is then during Winter when they will grow their feathers which protects them from the cold. During hibernation, they will use the fat stored in their body for months and emerged from their dens fluffy but thin.

Domestication
Esong Birds are docile and would generally approach people if they offer seeds to them. They would only find someone dangerous if they notice them hurting any animal or other Esong Birds. Only then, they would be aggressive and frighten them with terrible sounds.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They are best in mimicking voices as a form of self defense in the wild. They would mimic roars, gun shots or approaching monsters to drive away predators or hunters. As pets, they will mimic voices that brings comfort to their owners and may store that knowledge even after the person they mimicked from have passed away.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Esong birds comes in multiple colors ranging from blue, brown, beige, pink and green. Some would appear in multiple colors such as blue-green or beige-pink. The pink colored Esong birds are rare as their diet consists of the Pitaya fruits, a bright colored fruits with pink flesh. They are also generally bred and fed for show.
