One Who Swallows the World

The Great Devourer, or One Who Swallows The World, is a being who posses the great power of the Void to swallow Frantumare into eternal darkness, bring forth the Dark Calamity to the world. This title is believed to be equivalent to a god, or as most people believe to be the true god of Frantumare.

Adira Darte is the first to be granted this title, as she is the fabled Ashen Lord and the One Who Swallows The World. Her Void Elemi rivals The Ashen Born, perhaps much more powerful than them. Perhaps it is due to Adira seeks godhood for herself instead of being the All-Father's proxy.
Unlike The Ashen Born, Adira's method of liberation is through pure violence, fueled by her rage towards the Lys and the people of Frantumare. She chose to destroy the world and build it anew, so no other souls can be lost through meaningless war and death. During this time, The Ashen Born chose to serve Adira as her champion and assisted her in the destruction of Frantumare.
The Great Devourer title is granted to Adira by the All-Father while the One Who Swallows The World title is granted by the people of Frantumare when she summoned a Black Hole to devour the world. The title forever embedded into Adira, even as she becomes the new god for the darkened world.
