The Shivering Death

Arcanitis, also known as magical overdose (MO), is a severe, possibly fatal medical condition that affects individuals who excessively use magic for an extended period of time without proper rest. The excessive exposure causes the body to experience shock, resulting in uncontrollable shaking similar to epilepsy. Without urgent and proper care, the individual eventually succumbs to the trauma, resulting in heart failure and brain damage.
Even with proper treatment, arcanitis survivors rarely fully recover, as their hearts and brains have been severely damaged. This can lead to cardiovascular diseases, which can lead to heart failure later on, brain tumors, and permanent disabilities such as partial or complete paralysis, speech disorders, partial or complete blindness, intellectual disabilities, etc.
