Fay

Fay are magical beings inhabiting enchanted forests in various parts of Tharan. They tend to be very recluse and tend to themselves, only interacting with other species when absolutely necessary.

Fay possess incredible magic, and thus are often sought out by mortals in order to make pacts and gain power, wealth, or love. These deals often go wrong however, as Fays are culturally very literal in their understanding of mortal languages.

There are many different kinds of Fay, the most common ones being:

Fairies

Goblins

Leprechaun

In some mortal cultures, Fays are hunted as a sport. This resulted in countless conflicts between Fay Realms and mortal nations.



Fay culture is mainly centered around communion with nature, particularly trees and plants, and Fay have come to despise the technological progress of the recent centuries which are seen as aberrations and destroyers of nature.

Many Fay Realms are considered Natural Reserves and protected by law against industrialization or settling.
