Saelen
Saelen is one of the original Celestials to have been born after the death of Amath and Xaroth. They are one of the most powerful and has been at the center of every Gods War so far.
They are the creator of Heaven and of the Angels. They are worshipped by multiple religions throughout Tharan. Saelen is revered under many names, the most notable one being the goddess Cylene of the True Faith.
Saelen was the first to notice the influence of mortals over the Immaterium. The High Elves, the first sentient species of Tharan, could influence their world through dreams and imagination.
Intrigued by this discovery, Salen saw a way to increase their power in order to take over the Immaterium. They thought that if the Elves were to use their thoughts in her favor, they could become more powerful with each follower.
They thus decided to manifest themselves to one Elf known only to history as The Prophet. This Prophet saw the face of Saelen and heard their wishes. He transmitted the gospel to his people, and the first Cult of Saelen was born.
This faith quickly propagated to the rest of the High Elves and as Saelen expected, they saw their power increase. Saelen started a war against their siblings for the control of the Immaterium.
The other Celestials, initially taken aback by Saelen’s increased power, eventually allied against Saelen. Unable to fight all their siblings at once, Saelen decided to create an army that could not only worship them and increase their power but also fight directly in their name in the Immaterium.
They chose the most devout of High Elves and offered them power and glory for their immortal servitude and absolute devotion. The High Elves who agreed were given tremendous power and ascended as the First Angels of Saelen.
