Aegis Mountains

The Aegis Mountains, named because of the way they shield Gran Magna Cir'cori from the storms coming off the nineward Outer Ocean, is a mountain range of relatively small area but impressive height. Home to fierce, territorial, but reclusive creatures, it is quite sparsely populated by sentient races beyond a few very brave (or very desperate) mining settlements.
