Firbolg
Firbolgs have long cultivated a deep understanding of and kinship with the plants and beasts of the forest, and time has only served to strengthen this bond. The majority of firbolgs live in enclaves inside of ancient forests. These enclaves, in contrast to human constructions that stand apart from and tower over their surroundings, strive to blend into the forest in a harmonious and non-impactful presence that enhances the wonder and mystery of the sylvan settings they inhabit.
While individual firbolgs have preferences and allegiances like members of any other race, as a whole the firbolgs have hewn to a policy of strict neutrality. This is understandable when one realizes that firbolgs have settlements in forests all over the continent, including multiple enclaves in all three major nations. So, in order to not antagonize any governments (more than any other anyway), the firbolg race do not take sides in any conflicts and do not allow conflicts to spill over into their forests. While peace-loving, they are more than capable of defending themselves and a firbolg roused to anger is a dangerous opponent.
