Genasi

The genasi are a multifaceted race of humanoids living on a volcanic island located in the middle of the Inner Sea named Fulcrum's Navel. They are intimately tied with the elemental forces of Fulcrum and this is reflected in their physiology, with four different varieties of genasi known to exist. In most races such marked differences would tend to split people up into different racial groups, but this never happened to the genasi, perhaps because genasi lineages seem to defy classification: the different elemental "subraces" do not breed true. Whether the there is a degree of randomness or a pattern below the surface is unknown.
It is rumored that the genasi have a direct connection to the elementals that manifest in various places on Fulcrum and seem to do so with great frequency in proximity to their island. The genasi, for their part, have never seen fit to answer any questions about the subject.
