Giant War

An invasion of the byssward side of the Beastlands by a population of frost giants that recently appeared on Fulcrum.
No one knows how the frost giants arrived but they wasted no time once they did, raiding lightly defended coastal cities and laying siege to strongholds. With their goliath slaves, the frost giants made large initial territorial gains and began to fortify their positions. However, the Beastlander forces managed to outwit them by finding and destroying the magical Rod of Peace, an artifact that compelled the goliath to obedience. With the Rod destroyed, the goliath turned on their former masters and have helped turn the tide. The frost giants now only have a tenuous grasp on the coast.
The war is so recent and geographically distant from the other two major powers that the existence of the war has not yet become common knowledge to most non-Beastlanders.
