Kalashtar

The kalashtar are a mysterious race. Even though they have a settlement not far from the Nineward Coalition's nineward shores, very little is really known about them. They look like beautiful, pale humans, with angular features perhaps a little too symmetrical and strange psionic abilities. They are aloof yet friendly to visitors, but share very little of their knowledge or culture. It is not known precisely why they have chosen to settle in the relatively inhospitable region close to the nineward ice cliffs (the Beastlanders report that there is a similar settlement close to the byssward ice cliffs on the other side of Fulcrum). What is certain is that they have some strange connection to the celestials that have remained close to Fulcrum since the end of the Creation War.
With the kalashtar content to remain in relative isolation, they apparently play little-to-no role in the politics of other mortals, although it is not unknown for them to send agents out into the world with assignments known only to them.
