While Illoc is primarily a melee combatant, he is a powerful evocationist, able to use most fire based magic and specifically is able to maintain many of those spells for a lengthened time, having the fire linger far after the original spell fades, making any battlefield he fights upon a raging wildfire

Personal history

Illoc was raised during the Mercy-Eastlands war. Mercy at the time was doing significant research into many areas of magic that were considered taboo, all at the behest of their Crown Princess and Daughter of Mercy, Syndra Arno. Illoc was used as part of this research, specifically in trying to create a fully staffed unit of Demon Blade users, but the project was never finished as Mercy had lost the war before they could finish. Illoc was then taken in by the Lord of the Sybel household in Mercy were he was trained even more and eventually became the family's Adjudicator. In 5358 however, an incident had caused the fall of the entire house and Illoc had gained knowledge of Abraxis. After this event, Illoc began to do what he could slay Abraxis but had no means to even reach them, even though he knew exactly what he needed, Illoc had no idea where to find Moongleam, so he instead formed The Ruby Circle in an attempt to brute strength it, but was unsuccessful. After decades of trying, he had finally heard news that 'Moongleam' had surfaced and was in possession of the Gilven household. He did what he could to learn about the family without engaging them at all, believing that it would be safest to just force them to give up Moongleam without having to kill anybody or burden anyone else with the knowledge of Abraxis. After research done by another member of The Ruby Cricle, they found out about the Sawthouns, Elves related to the Gilven, but had none if the power that the Gilven family had behind them. Illoc kidnapped the most of the Sawthoun family and directed Callington to seek out the Gilven and bring him Moongleam. After a confrontation with Kel-Dai and his allies, they worked together to get to and slay Abraxis. When Abraxis was slain and the group brought back to the Gilven manor, Illoc departed, in search of another task to complete

Morality & Philosophy

Illoc seems sociopathic, not caring what others think of him, or what consequences may come of his actions. Even with that being true though, he still seems to value the life of innocent people, making it his last resort to kill innocents and avoiding it whenever possible. He has no qualms with lying, stealing, or manipulating if in the end he can complete his goals however

Illoc was raised as a weapon, and it's how he sees himself. He gives his own life no value, and has no qualms dying if he knows he has been beat

Personality Quirks

After the confrontation with Kel-Dai's allies, the Archdemon, Aristeidis, had to use his Authority to get Illoc to talk at all, putting a permanent charm on him. While he is still quite reserved and doesnt show many strong emotions at all, this charm still influences many of his decisions
