Rune Magic

Predictably, Rune Magic makes use of ancient runes to achieve their effects. The runes themselves stolen from the God Odin, long ago, and developed by Rune Smiths afterwards. These primordial runes work to write new rules into the Weave rather than manipulating it. The effects made by runes are always permanent and because of this most Rune Smiths see it as a waste to use runes themselves offensively and instead use them to make magical items. Primordial Runes are considered a living language with new runes being added by talented Rune Smiths, though because of this not only does it take years to master the use of runes, even by the most talented individuals, but no two Rune Smiths will use the magic in the same way.
