Seliel is a Medusa that Varlega took in after finding her while searching for materials. Since then Seliel has been both an attendant and friend for Varlega.
Physical Description
Special abilities
Seliel possesses the same eyes as any other Medusa, inflicting a powerful petrifying curse upon anyone that meet her gaze, though hers can be more potent, leaving almost no time to avert your gaze before the curse takes hold.
In addition to this, Seliel's snakes produce a powerful magical sedative capable even making even an Elf a little drowsy.
Specialized Equipment
Seliel's glasses are a magical tool created by Varlega. While wearing them Seliel is under a very powerful disguise spell that would only draw attention under heavy scrutiny. Though these glasses would prove useless for almost anyone else as they have the side-effect of rendering her completely blind.

Personal history
Seliel hasn't shared her early past with anyone, only stating that it wasn't the best.
Within the last five years however, Seliel had been living in the mountains of Chumane, staying secluded and only going to towns infrequently for supplies. Though this peaceful life was ruined when a bandit group tries to rob her, barging into her home while she was working and not wearing a blindfold to protect others. All but one of the bandits were turned to stone, the remaining one ran away fearful that Seliel would attack him. She left for the nearest town to buy materials to repair her house, but after she got there, the surviving bandit exposed her secret and in after the bandit assaulted her and ruined her disguise, she had accidentally petrified several innocent people and was chased out of town. It was mere hours before the Adventuring Guild had a bounty on her as a dangerous monster. But the first person to reach her was Varlega
She spent the next several months with Varlega working for her to repay the kindness she had shown her. She worked dutifully for Varlega, joining her on dangerous expeditions, including one perilous trip to the Outlands ,which included herself, Varlega, and Kel-Dai ,that nearly killed Varlega. Most notably though, Seliel had accompanied Varlega to her ruined childhood home after Musamune Kendo had told her where he found it, where Varlega had opened up to Seliel about many things and their relationship had deepened
However, where Seliel had gotten romantic feelings for Varlega, she did not have those same feelings for Seliel. For several days this had made Seliel depressed and hurt, but after meeting the small Chimera, Soko, she had began to brighten having made a new friend. And soon, Soko even started a relationship with her, despite knowing her true nature, and Seliel is more than thrilled to have Soko in her life

Failures & Embarrassments
While she is completely faithful and would never do anything jeopardize her new relationship with Soko, Seliel feels guilty and ashamed knowing that she does still have feelings for Varlega, and is doing her absolute best push those thoughts away, as it's not possible no matter what, and Soko already genuinely makes her happy, even in the short time they've been together. Because of this, she is overcompensating a bit in trying to show Soko how much she cares about her, even offering to share her magic with the chimera despite what it would mean for herself

Due to her nature as a medusa, she always feels that she can never be accepted by most people because of the discrimination from the past, and treasures the people who do accept her as she is
Morality & Philosophy
Seliel is a very kind person and always does her best to help who she can, even if its not the best for her. She even refuses to use her eyes for her own safety, instead choosing to only use them in defense of other people.
