Holospace

Holospace, or perhaps colloquially "the holo" is a projection onto reality around a space which can be tuned into by individuals with neuroreceptors. These projections offer an augmented reality and a way of interacting with cyberspace in a very physical way with the projectors able to interpret how users interact with the projection via communication with their neuroreceptors.
While individuals agree on spatial, temporal and indexation quantiies they need not agree on the visual representation of that space. While a default skin will be suggested by the projector, users are likely to have personalised monikers for the common objects one would interact with in these spaces. These including files, virus, security protocols and so on.
The holo can be dangerous. The brain is unable to separate holo signals from reality which can lead to phantom damage to the body manifesting in real pain and even death. However most neuroreceptors have built in safety mechanisms to limit the severity of the signals sent to the brain from the holo. However, corporations makes these neuroreceptors and back doors are included in almost every model.
Being forefully ejected from the holo is a painful and disorintating experience that often leaves individuals with symptoms ranging from nausea to lasting hallucinations or comotosing states.
