Carbotanium

In 2007 an Italian Super car manufacture created an alloy between Titanium and Carbon fiber, They very cleverly named it Carbotanium. They mainly made it to make they cars sound more exotic and to justify the insane prices they demanded for them. They did not know they would change the world years later.
In 2024 a American startup named Radilife sort to change and better the world of prosthesis, stumbled upon this alloy, and found out if mixed in the right way could make extremely durable and flexible substitute for human bone, Before the end of 2025 Radilife had grown to a 3 billion dollar company, offering both prosthesis and replacement of bones in people, The latter proved to be a major game changer, as Carbotanium bones could be hollow and opened op for implementing electronics into the human body in a way never seen before,
The first examples of this was good in nature, monitor of vitals, in body injection of insulin in people with diabetes. but it would not be long before more selfish and nefarious thing became prevalent, Kevlar to make a bulletproof skeleton, smuggling storage for drugs, NFC chip readers for collection of data from passerby's credit card info and passports.
By year 2033 the practices of replacing up to 87 % of the skeleton with Carbotanium was so common that a estimated 8 in 10 kids under the age of 5 had it done, this unfortunately stunted the growth, of many kids, as the new skeleton did not grow naturally, and many parents did not have the funds to change the skeleton of they kids on a yearly or semi yearly bases. Other problems that was a bit unforeseen was that in the cases of a broken "bone" the Carbotanium would splinter sending deadly sharp splinters into nearby organs or artery's, potential turning a mild injuring fetal a entire industry specializing in creating implements for the hollow skeleton had sprung up, estimated to be worth around 600 billion in the US alone,
