Ascending

The act of gaining full control of ones Will and thus becoming a God. Ascending makes it possible to only exist in the Plane of Desire,without a physical body in the physical world.
The God can however always return to the physical world. But if they are killed in the physical world, their Will and consciousness return to the reincarnation cycle and their accumulated magical power from the elemental cores will be lost.
Reached by giving in to one's one most important desire, while disregarding every other aspect and goal in life. As a result, Gods often have extreme views and intentions to reach their goals, however small or big they might be. When ascending every other thing in life becomes unimportant to the God. That's why ascending is sometimes compared to dying.
When losing their extreme Will and 'regaining' their humanity, Gods can chose to give up on their life and godhood and return to the reincarnation cycle. This usually happens when a God's desire is fulfilled or when their desire becomes impossible to attain.
