Everfall
Everfall is a region south of Callimoria, north of Veileux and east of the large Shimmerlake, where the heart of the high elves traditionally sat. The region is so rich in mana, after the high elves of ages past artificially provided the ground and the sky with magical energy so that the area would be pleasant and beautiful all-year-round. Everfall, as the name suggests, is in a stasis of constant autumn, at least a condition similar, with pleasant, warm weather, and trees that never lose their golden leaves. Despite this magic being highly concentrated to this one region, the areas around Everfall have seen mana "leakage" over hundreds of years, magic which has bled into the nearby areas of Autumntree Woods in Callimoria, and the Golden Highlands in Veileux, changing the flora and the climate. Everfall, however magically induced into a near-stasis, does have its own version of seasons and other periodic changes. In the northern winter, it does frequently snow in the area, although the climate stays very mild compared to its surrounding regions. In the spring, new trees and plants bloom, although all retain their beautiful shades of gold and orange. In the autumn of the surrounding areas, the colours of the trees are especially colourful, and the light that shines through the leaves seem is golden, vibrant and beautiful. And lastly, in the summer time, Everfall is comfortably warm and inviting, and the days are longer than usual.
Today, Everfall is the home of the sun elves, and although they usually stay in their floating city of Anar Tal, they tend to the forests around the eastern shore of the shimmerlake as well, having several outposts in the area, with teleporters that connect to the main city. Although the old high elven empire included not only Everfall, but what is today known as the dustlands as well as larger parts of Callimoria and Calen, today, after war, invasion and strige, Everfall is the only ancestral home the sun elves have left, and despites their distant attitude to the world below their shining city, they will preserve and protect Everfall with their lives.
