Imir - Goddess of War and Honor

Domains:

War and Tempest   Imir, Goddess of War and Honor, is known by many names, and the true identity and depiction of the god varies greatly from culture to culture. The jotnar call her "Tyr" and in their depictions she is a man who has a special connection with the Ordning/the Giant pantheon. By others she is called "The Warbringer" or "The Red Lady". "Champion" and "God of Heroes" is also frequently used, and many on Gaea have different ways to refer to and to worship the divinity.    She is one of the two youngest deities in the pantheon of the Fate, and togheter with Vathyre, she was born solely from the mortals themselves. Exactly how Vathyre and Imir came to be, is unknown, but they are special in the way that they have no relation with any particular cosmic force, but that they are keepers and harbringers of mortal desires. Vathyre being the embodiment of the mind, and Imir being the embodiment of conflict. Because of this clear connection to all mortal life, both Vathyre and Imir are very involved in mortal affairs. Vathyre tends to guide and help those who seek to unravel the mysteries of the world, while Imir protects and honors those who have the strength to vanquish their foes. Vathyre and Imir are in constant conflict, and the two, being opposites in many ways, despise one another. Vathyre values isolation and peace, while Imir awards exploration and conquest, and such the followers of the two often find themselves on opposite sides of conflicts.   Depiction of Imir, as the discussions around her identity suggests, are many and often wildly different. The jotnar see her as a jotnar or giant man, the centuars see her as a large centaur man of great man. Humans tend to depict her as a heavily armoured female human, often with wings, while elves tend to see her as an elegant, but savage, harbringer of doom. All agree on the fact that she is a god of limitless power however, unparallelled in the art of waging war and vanquishing foes, and because of this she is feared and respected by all.   Worship of Imir is popular accross the entirety of Antreia, and shrines to the god are found everywhere. Despite the difference in opinon when it comes to her appearance, the way the god is revered is very similar accross cultures. Imir herself is clear on the fact that honour, strength and power are things that she hold in high regard, and as such, most of her followers work hard to prove their strength by fighting, conquering and subjugating others. Imir hates those who fight unfairly however, and she greatly values the freedom and the potential of the individual, being known to take pity on the underdogs, turning the tables of war by gifting brave but weak souls with immense powers to overthrow their oppressors. Orcs, warriors, soldiers, jotnar and leaders of nations especially look to the guidance of imir, especially when there are wars to be fought.
