Old Lerwick

The village lies nestled between rolling hills and scattered forests, and even though, based on your map, Old Lerwick is the only stop on the main road before travelers reach the deeper woods, it is closer in size to a village than any trading town you have seen before on your travels. On the way to the town itself however, there are plenty of smaller farms that, by what you can see, cultivate everything from vegetables to grain and fruit. When you reach Old Lerwick itself, you see that the town is clearly of human make, architecture very different to what you saw in the heart of Calen. Here there are cobbled streets, walls to shield against the surrounding forests, and buildings made of wood and stone. And although the town is clearly inspired by the Wood Elven way of living in harmony with one’s surroundings, Old Lerwick is unmistakably human in a humble sort of way, which is a welcome sight after having seen little apart from trees and forests for days.
