The City-State of Harnea

The second largest Drow city in the underdark after Menzoberranzan. It follows many Lolthian customs, and is currently allied with the capital, but the city is independent and has its own government and culture. Although many Harneans worship Shar or Lolth, the second largest religion in Harnea is based around the Uekera, meaning «the tree of all seeds», a pale World Tree of massive size. Due to the disagreements of both goverment and religion between the Uekerans and the Lolthians, the city-state is in a state of political turmoil. One prominent Lolthian family in Harnea is the Ceirels, currently under the leadership of Fiona Ceirel. 
Harnea was the only moon elven city that survived the Lunar Cataclysm, and although much was left in ruins and its people turned to Drow like all the rest of the Moon Elves, it is believed that Uekera protected the Harneans from harm and spared the city, hence the people’s reverence towards it.
