The Island of Wyvernia

Wyvernia is a volcanic island to the north west of Deirim, situated just at the boundary of the Sea of Clouds, the island is partially hidden by a thick mist, only the jagged tops of mountains visible from the coastline of Antreia. Wyvernia is home to the last of the ancient dragons, as well as the dragon queen; Tiamat, who slumbers deep inside the large volcano in the middle of the island, called Zezhuanth in the draconic language.
Wyvernia is beautiful, although by some considered desolate. Large fields of exotic flowers that contrast beautifully against the craggy mountains that protect the coastline. Large sandy beaches completely untouched by civilisation, as well as the breath-taking volcanic peaks in the middle of the island, where lava occasionally erupts to form massive black sheets of hard rock. 
The Island of Wyvernia is ruled by Tiamat and her army of chromatic dragons. Although Tiamat slumbers for decades at a time, the younger dragons live and thrive on the island, making their nests on the white beaches and inside the dark mountains. In addition to the draconic community on the island, there are humans that live in harmony with Tiamat's dragons. Having sought sanctuary on the island centuries ago, these humans learned to live with the dragons, adopting their faith, customs and language. The humans, by some simply called "dragonriders" are not numerous and they live simple but pleasant lives in small tight-knit communities. The most dedicated among these humans care for the dragons of Wyvernia, and some have even reached an agreement with the larger species, humans simply called "dragon knights", having being allowed to care for hatchlings, who, when they eventually come of age, act as mounts and companions to their riders.
