The Months of Gaea
"The Adrastan Calendar is based on that which was used by the ancient High Elves when they first united their empire in the First Age. It currently contains three ages, each which end with an era changing event known as a \"catalyst\". Previous catalysts have been events such as the fall of the High Elven Empire at the end of the First Age, and the Lunar Cataclysm at the end of the Second Age.
The calendar contains 12 months each containing exacly 30 days. The months are divided into four seasons; winter, spring, summer and autumn, containing four months each. There are 365 days a year in the Adrastan Calendar, which leaves 5 extra days which are considered holidays and special occasions. These days do not have a fixed placement during the months and seasons, but rather differ from year to year.
There are 7 days a week in the Adrastan Calendar, and although the names of these days have changed since the High Elven Empire, the system remains largely the same.
There are two ways to read the Adrastan Calendar, one is to count from 0 up to 2538 (which is the current year). This does not take the ages into account. The other method is to count from 0 starting at every new age, to then add a \"1A\" or \"3A\" before the year to indicate which age of which we are referring to. The current year with this method is 3A 315, Most people prefer the latter method, but in some scholarly circles the first method is the most widespread. " 1. Second Frost 2. Last Frost 3.
