Born from Earth

Fey, also known as Earthborn, are a diminutive and hardworking race of animal-like people found where there are mountains, hills and canyons. They came after Spriggans, and are their counterpart in all ways. Where the Spriggans flow like the wind, seeking to wander where their heart takes them, the Fey are content with simple livings in their vast settlements that can span around even whole mountains. They can speak to rock and stone, finding success in deep mines where rock moves at the whim of their Groundtongues.
All Fey share some key qualities, namely a stubbornness and a longing. The Fey lost their connection with wind and water after a great war with primordial humans, and as such feel as outsiders in a world that wants to accept them. Each individual deals with this loss differently, but they all feel it. A famous Fey saying goes as such: "All the heart needs is a home, a love and a good story."
It is no wonder then that some wander outside the confines of their cities to find their story, their meaning. It is rare though that a Fey is open enough to try to seek something to fill the lost part of themselves.
