Successful Rescue

Things turned out a little differently than I expected when I headed into the guild camp. I kind of thought I would look around with the people I have traveled with, and just kind of go with whatever the majority wanted. It doesn't matter a ton which I end up with, I just need a group that can meet my... unique yet simple requirement. Which from the sounds of it, nearly all do. But, as we visited the Spirit Guard camp, we learned that its leader had been kidnapped. Honestly, if someone who led an entire guild was overpowered and taken, my original thought was, wow that is really unfortunate, best of luck to them!   It seems the people I am with were not content with that. It was actually pretty inspiring to see them go to work. The second they heard about this kidnapping, they began asking for details, looking around, and to my absolute shock and surprise, they found clues! Some footprints and they got good info from the husband of the leader. I thought that if a trained guild could not find her, how in the world would a bunch of green, untested recruits figure it out? But before I knew it, we were following the footprints. It was actually really exciting to think of ways to fool the enemy into revealing themselves. I thought I wonder what they would do if they saw their target walking about. So I summoned an image of her to walk with us and looked out for anyone who looked surprised.   And to my absolute flabbergastary it worked! Someone indeed did look surprised, so I followed them. My goal here was just to follow, hopefully, find where she was hidden, and return to the group. Simpaváya came along with me, and before we knew it, we had found their camp! We were on a real adventure, and somehow it actually worked! I snuck up close to confirm that the leader was among them, and she was along with some jackle-looking things, and a large snake creature. Simpaváya somehow placed her voice within a little very cute cat and took off to find the group while I remained and kept watch.   It was a little frustrating just looking down and watching, she was so close, a quick sprint in and I could untie her and run away. But, I am no fool. If I ran in there alone, I would get torn apart. After just a half hour or so, Airen Laupë suddenly appeared above me. I guess that Simpaváya had successfully found them! She and her cat are very cool.   We were about to sneak back to the group when many of the jackals started running north. They must have made a distraction so Airen Laupë and I could sneak in and rescue the leader. I thought maybe there were overestimating our ability to go there together, but, that seemed to be the plan, so we went for it!   When my mask came off, all the Jackals were dead, as well as the weird snake lady thing. That was not, at all, my plan. I was hoping to jump in, untie and run. I didn't think we would have a chance in Hell to defeat that many opponents. My new companions really are pretty amazing! It really went much better than I could have imagined! Though I guess I kind of blinded Airen Laupë for an entire fight, which was not ideal. Sounds like he has an idea on how to see through my darkness though, which sounds amazing. I would love it if we could fight better together. I need to work on my memories. I do not like not being able to remember anything. The mask is to help me do what is hard, but that doesn't not mean I want those moments totally gone...   Anyways, seems like we are going to get a pretty great opportunity thanks to undertaking this mission. Basically, if we can find the source of these Jackals and take them out, we can do quests for all the guilds. That seems like a dream come true since we could all stick together and do different kinds of quests. Wow. Now we just need to succeed on this mission.   Also on a random note... if I am on a ship again, it is of the utmost importance to eat veggies and fruits, or else I can get sick or die. So remember, Vald'Liam, eat lots of those when on a ship!   My thoughts for the last day or so... is wow. It has really just been a whirlwind. Within a few days, I have killed 6 beings. It makes me feel sick, and yet grateful. It seems joining a guild really was the best way to accomplish my needs. But, it seems that it counted when killing Jackals. They seem less intelligent, almost like killing an animal with a little more intelligence. I think this is important learning. I really enjoy traveling with the people I am with. Many of them are talkative, enough so that I can kind of take a back seat and not feel pressured into talking. With that being said, they will chat with me at times, so I don't feel disliked, despite my mask. Really... I feel like I have found a group of just very accepting, kind people. I think that's good, while I am a carma effíriëva, I am hoping to only be used against those who deserve it.   Oh, on a final note, I think I finally discovered the name for our magical paladin man. Lónacala. He has a light he fights with, and yet there is a darkness there at times, even as he uses the light.   Finally, Lócëisca is not a name I am satisfied with... but as we are officially companions, it is the one I shall give for now. For my white Yuanti companion.   Hope all goes well!   Vald'Liam Train

Bloody Battle | Finally Arrived
Vald'Liam Twaine

Well, it turns out I got into a battle with news travel companions of mine before I thought I would. Drug Slayer did indeed find the group of people who had stolen all her things. She spoke with their leader and demanded that they give back her items. In typically drug lord fashion, he refused and laughed about how her family died, calling it an accident. It was pretty clear that he had them killed, which, for a moment confused all of us. Drug Slayer had not mentioned that her family has been killed. When we inquired, she said she thought it was implied.   So, I have made a note. I will never tell someone I have lost something, or something has been stolen. Too much can be implied here.   With the refusal, Drug Slayer decided to live up to her name, and we followed. I didn't even try without my mask, the minute I could I slid it on. They seemed like bad people, exactly the kind I am hunting. I just really hoped that the mask would feel and understand my intentions, I didn't want to hurt my traveling companions.   Well, I think it is understood. When the mask finally came off, 16 people were dead, 4 by my hand. The leader was tied up, a somewhat arrogant, yet fearful look on his face. Idandil was there with me, though with her hat and mask, I could not tell what she was thinking. We talked for a brief moment, she could obviously tell I changed while I fought, but didn't seem to on edge. Once I regained my senses, I joined the others in creating graves for the dead. They had already started. I was glad, to see them caring for the dead. I might be on a path of blood and death, but that doesn't mean we need to disrespect the dead, no matter how they were in life. I would greater prefer to not be on this path to begin with, so I'll do anything I can do to keep my humanity.   I think I might have freaked out a few. Airen Laupë kept looking at me weirdly. I can't say I blame him. I have to become a monster, so I should get used to being seen as one. Who goes out and kills like this, and becomes anything but?   After dealing with the drug lord, which included going back to town, getting Drug Slayers items back plus a little extra. From there, we bought some gear, got some food, and headed out.   I tried something I had never had before, nor thought to try. The green slimy looking plants at the bottom of the sea, some sort of weed. Simpaváya bought some dried version of them and had everyone try it. It was much better then I was expecting. I am now much more interesting in grabbing different plants that don't look ediable, and giving them a try. I could be surprised!   After a few days of traveling, we have finally arrived at the guild thing. There are only really two I am interested it, but I wouldn't mind choosing the one more of our group choses. I have enjoyed traveling with them, and they already know what I am, and haven't tried to kill me. Thats worth holding onto I think

It's no where to be seen
Vald'Liam

It's not here. Everything said it would be, but it isn't. And no one seems to know where it is. The guild thing. I was really hoping it would be a quick, show up, find one that could meet my needs, and go. Now, I am worried. The month has just begun, I know my quota, and I have no idea if I can meet it or not. Part of me wonders if it is worth it, but then I see the face of my siblings, of my friends, and know that I must press forward.   This huge Orc lady ran into me and then acted as if I assaulted her. I almost slid my mask on right then and there out of fear! The way she looked at me made me wish for nothing more than to run mack to Loth Dak'Ra, back into the fields of warm Moon Flowers. I think I kept my cool pretty well though. Thank goodness for anxiety that freezes me into place!   I think it was actually a good thing... the scary Orc lady, whom I have dubbed, "Drug Slayer" (She is trying to kill a drug lord, of which I have no doubt she will succeed). was traveling with a few other people who, as luck would have it, seem to be looking for the guild as well. They are quite different from the people I am used to traveling with, but it seems that a guild recruitment festival thing would attract some different kinds of people. For example, I have heard from several of their mouths that we make quite a colorful group. Almost all of us are wearing black or white. Though I suppose we have different highlights. But pretty much black or white...   There is one I would describe as VERY colorful in terms of both personal gear and personality. I can't remember her name, but her skin is bright pink! And her hair was purple. While the skin is a little offputting, her hair reminds me of the glow of freshly bloomed moon flowers. While they eventually become more of a blue, when they first bloom they are purple. They are full of life, their whole life in front of them, and they make sure you notice them, as they are different than the other moon flowers. I find this for her, to be extremely appropriate. It is because of this, that personally, I have decided to dub her "Rána", or in the common tongue, "A Wayword Moon" or "The Wandering Moon."   In terms of personality, I would say the other more colorful member is a man who wears half a shirt and no shoes. I can't remember his name either. As I have mentioned, he wears this strange, see-through shirt that does not even cover his whole chest. Just the arms, and his upper chest. It provides no covering really, no warmth, and truthfully has no design. I do have to admit, though I find it hard to accept, as I can see very little purpose to it, it does not look bad. It allows his toned muscles (of which I find myself mildly jealous) to be seen through the shirt, and his abs, which I am sure could crack a tree nut' shell, to be on full display. I would not be surprised if he was offered by many to share a bed. I do believe he mentioned he was from the sea... so from this I have decided to dub him "Airen Laupë" or in the common tongue, "Sea Shirt."   I haven't gotten o know really any of the other companions, so I will hold off on dubbing them until I have learned more of them. If I even have the chance. Hopefully, we can find the guild thing, and I will be on my way to new adventures. Although, I wouldn't mind sticking around with these people. They seem good enough. I just hope, for my sake, they are not wholly good.
