Battle of Titans
Before a single plant or beast ever inhabited the world, the Titans ruled. Beings formed from the raw power of the elements walked about, shaping and destroying the world around them as they saw fit.
But one of these Titans found a spirit that inhabited this world and hid from the Titans' destructive rage. His rage left the Titan when he saw it and was replaced by a calmness unknown to him before.
To protect this soul, the Titan built mountains and valleys that would protect it from the power of his brothers. The spirit came out of hiding and gave the titan a name in gratitude. She called him Annam and introduced herself as Gaia. The two soon met more and more often and eventually fell in love.
When his brothers discovered what had happened to Annam, they were furious. They tried to convince him that this spirit had poisoned his mind and robbed him of his power. But Annam refused to destroy Gaia and swore that he would protect her from any harm. Blinded by rage, the Titans set out to destroy Gaia in order to free their brother from her spell. Annam stood protectively before Gaia and when his brothers arrived, he defeated and slew them all. After the battles of the Titans, which had shaken the entire world, peace finally returned.
Annam was now the last Titan, surrounded by the skeletons of his brothers, and as the last Titan stood there, he was overcome with grief. For a long time Annam wept for his brothers and his tears filled the deepest valleys of the world.
Gaia came to comfort her beloved and when the two united, she caused the giants to spring from the skeletons of the Titans. These are said to be the children she gave Annam, a reminder of his lost brothers. When Annam saw his children, he was pulled out of his grief. He raised them together with Gaia and taught them how to shape the elements around them, how to rebuild the world and tame the raging elements.
