Prince of Lies

Cyric is the god of theft, deception and murder. The latter dominion was only given to him, when the other gods found out that he was behind the theft of Mystra's magic. They blamed him for the fact that mortals had been able to kill a god and gave him a choice. Either they would execute him for the betrayal or he would henceforth take responsibility for all murders.
Cyric chose his life and from then on had to help all the dark souls who wanted to murder enemies and friends. 
The Prince of Lies is known for always scheming to increase his power or simply for his entertainment. However, he always keeps a cool head and there is little that can upset him.
Words and secrets are his weapons, which he uses to bend and break the will of his enemies or to wrap them around his finger. 
Although he is forced to answer the prayers of all his murderous followers, he prefers those who do not kill indiscriminately, but hide their actions behind an inscrutable network of lies and deception. Which is why recently he transferred the dominion of murder to the Bloody Bride.
Even before his punishment, Cyric was a loner and interacted little with the other gods except to play pranks on them or discover their secrets. Many of the other gods therefore distrust Cyric with good reason. The only goddess with whom Cyric has regular contact is Eris, who enjoys the attention of the silver-tongued god.

Tenets of Faith

Trust no one, but be trusted by everyone. 
Always plan for success and failure alike, but never follow the same plan for too long. This way no one can follow your true trail. 
A dagger in the shadows can be more powerful than any army. 
Act unseen and unheard and never reveal your true strength. 
There are no friends or enemies, only tools or hurdles. Tools are used until they are no longer useful. 
As long as the desired goal is achieved, any method is justified.
