Gond

Lord of the Forge (a.k.a. Wonderbringer / Nebulun)

Gond is a burly blacksmith with a mighty hammer. His forge and anvil allow him to forge the fabric of the stars themselves.
Gond gives concrete form to ideas and inspires mortals to create new things. He cares only about the act of creating new things. The effects of his inventions on the world, however, are of little concern to him. Some believers in the Church of Mystra rebuke the Wonderbringer for placing technology above art, but in truth, magic is just another tool for the Lord of All Forges.    Gond is a mysterious deity. He serves Oghma thanks to his thirst for knowledge, but is so independent of his master that many forget the bond between the two. He is friends with Lathander, Waukeen and Tempus, for his inventions are linked to creativity, profit and war. His only true enemy is Talos, whose indiscriminate destruction threatens not only Gond's creations, but also his dominance over devices of destruction.

Tenets of Faith

Actions count. Intentions are one thing, but what counts is the result.    Leave the talking to others, Gondarians serve their god by what they do.    Develop new things that work and always work on your skills. Practice on the new and the familiar, implement ideas and strive to be able to develop things for any situation, as big or as small as the situation requires.    Question the new and the unknown and counter it with new devices.    New devices should be both elegant and useful.    In general, familiarize yourself with the tools you work with, practice with them and develop new ideas for their uses, and develop new devices where it seems useful and necessary, and strive to promote these virtues in others as well, either by helping them directly, sponsoring their advancement, or taking other necessary steps.   Keep a record of your ideas and constructions so that others are able to understand and improve your work.    Encourage others, such as farmers or hunters, to think about their tools and develop new ideas on how to improve them.    Observe, acquire and secure the work of others and spread the knowledge you acquire in this way among Gond's faithful.    Publicize and discuss ideas so that they may be improved and all may see the divine enlightenment that the Wonderbringer represents.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Manifestations show Gond as a blacksmith's hammer surrounded by gray smoke, but also occasionally as a pair of dark eyes peering out from such smoke.
He usually uses his appearance to impart new ideas to one of his followers, or to cast a useful spell, which usually seems to emanate from the cloud itself until the actual effect manifests.
