Guilds of Yatangar

While it may seem that all Corsairs do is raid, drink, fuck and fight, there is still a need for tradesmen and -women of all kind to sustain the Corsair way of life. In order to protect themselves from the cruelty and arbitrary of Corsairs banded these simple folk together into respective guilds.
These guilds ensure the relative safety and peace of the members, so long as they a willing to pay the guilds fee. Within the cities the Guilds wield enough influence to dissuade most Corsairs from harming their workers and to represent their interest in front of the High-Council. Most guilds employ their own small forces of mercenary, goons and cut-throats that can deal with unruly Corsairs and deal out retribution for transgressions against members of the guild.
The most influential guilds on Yatangar are the Guilds of the shipwhrights, merchants, whores and brewers.
