Valkur
God of Sailors (a.k.a. Captain of the Waves)
Valkur, the captain of the waves, is the patron god of sailors, ships and responsible for favorable winds and sea battles.
Legends say that Valkur was once a human captain who challenged Umberlee and won the battle against the waves with his ship. Tempus and the Red Knight try to interest him in sea battles, but Valkur has so far felt mainly responsible for protecting all sailors and little else. Clerics Valkur pray for their spells at dawn, usually when the first breeze stirs. There is a sacred holiday for Valkur called the Shattering, which celebrates the day when the ice breaks up and shipping is once again possible in the north. It can be on a different day in each city and varies from year to year, but is also celebrated in the ice-free south.
Valkur clerics know over a dozen different rituals that are performed when a ship is christened, when it reaches a new port, when a voyage begins or ends, among other things.

Tenets of Faith
There's nothing better than challenging the elements! Feeling the wind and spray on your skin and hearing the planks of the ship groan as the waves crash around you!
To expand their own power, daring men and women must forget the probabilities and dare the impossible.
Exploration and risk are what make life beautiful.
Life is there to be lived - fuck the consequences.
Everyone's loyalties are first to their comrades, then to the ship, and then to Valkur, who protects all sailors.
