Waukeen
Goddess of Trade (a.k.a. Merchant´s Friend / The Golden Lady / Coinmaiden)
Waukeen is a rather young, dynamic and lively goddess of the rich, who likes hard work and especially prosperity and wealth. However, she does not prefer it for its own sake, but only for what can be achieved with it.
She loves trade and the hustle and bustle of the marketplaces. She watches over transactions "above" and "below" the counter, legitimate or on the black market. She likes innovation, but can also be very stubborn and steady. Waukeen had few enemies before the battle of the gods, only Cyric was her real enemy. Her strongest ally was the goddess Lliira, who also stood by her later on. Her followers were therefore very surprised when she simply disappeared at the time of the divine fratricide. When she finally returned several years later, she revealed that the demon lord Graz'zt had captured her. He had offered her a deal, but it had turned out to be a ruse.
Faith in Waukeen suffered greatly in the absence of the goddess. Since her return, she has made serious efforts to strengthen the faith, but there are still wild rumors about her whereabouts at that time. Rumors persist that she is still dead or has even joined forces with demons.
