Human Collapse

The Human Collapse refers to the great incident that resulted in the sharp decline in humanity's global well being and prosperity for over 100 years. Caused initially by the infighting of humanity and later by monster aggression it resulted in what Humans now consider to be the worst event to have befallen humanity since the Leaf Fall Incident.

The Conflict

Prelude

Decades of provocations and competitions from the nations of man would culminate in a war between the two human superpowers on Gaia. the first Being the kingdom of Saul the second The Kingdom of Rends. Due to pressures from the two powers many other nations; either due to fear of being attacked or a desire to be on the winning side were pulled into the war. The nations of monster seeing the war break out between the humans, opportunistically joined in to ravage the nations.

Outcome

The severity of the conflict resulted in the total collapse of the the nations of Saul and Rend along with many other human nations that were draw into the war. The war saw many of the territories of man adsorbed into the monster nationsĀ  and its citizens subjugated with the Totoji shogunate and the Tsardom of Vampiris growing the most from the conflict.

Aftermath

The war left most nations drained of resources and manpower leaving them vulnerable and weak for decades. This weakness allowed monster to takeover lands and subjugate humans with little resistance.

Historical Significance

Legacy

Humanity realized as a species that their greatest enemy was themselves, that in order to prosper and survive humanity needed to come together in peace and cooperation to insure that humanity would never again experience such a tragedy. From this war a culture of human interdependence would blossom and humans would unite in a way the transcended race, culture, and political ideology.
