Hybrids
Hybrids refer to the species of peoples that are the result of the rare event of humans and monsters interbreeding with each other. Hybrids may maintain the physical characteristics of their monster parent albeit it to a lesser significance, while displaying the mentality and disposition of their human parent. Unlike monsters Hybrids have no overt or instinctual desire to prey on humans.
"... I have for length debated whether or not such beings should be included as part of my compendium. They are not by definition to be considered 'Monsters', yet they are not Human by the same metric. As such I have decided to include the purple-eyed folk solely on the the premise that they are not of full human origin."
"...In specificity I will clearly state that the term 'Hybrid' refers to those who are of a human and monster union and not beings that are born of differing monsters species. Though a monster may call such being a hybrid as well."

History
Relatively speaking; the Hybrids are a newer much younger species when compared to their parent ancestors, humans and monsters. In fact despite humans and monsters existing side-by-side for over 25,000 years at the minimum; the evidence of the earliest hybrids on go back as far a 5,000 years ago, with absolutely no mention of their presence in records prior to. The first mention of hybrids existing are mentioned in the myth of the Third Heresy of Shangri-La, where the Great Witch fell in love with a Human and gave birth to the hybrids and whose obsession's caused the ruin of the province in which she ruled. After this the existence of hybrids become more and more prominent in history, usually subjugated or enslaved.
Scientists, anthropologists, and historians have made many hypotheses on why all of sudden the world went from no evidence of hybrids to overwhelming proof of their existence many of which have been debunked. The only singular theory that is not based on a religious focus is that around 5,000 years ago there was a major fundamental change in the biological functions of of humans and monsters and in the interactions between the two species. If the concept of the the Third Heresy is to be believed on a general scale, it would imply that monsters and humans did not originally have the capacity to interbreed and that the change was instigated by someone or something. The theory of instigated change is supported by a number of key historical facts:

- Prior to 5,000 years ago there are no records, myths, or folk tales in reference to hybrids or hybrid-like peoples in any culture be it human or monster.
- Records 5,000 years and onwards on hybrids present a general confusion and fear on how and why the species came to be, with a general consensus that theses peoples were a sudden and unpredictable event rather than a normality that suddenly exploded in numbers.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Humans
Despite the past and recent events between Hybrids and Humanity, the two species are generally peaceful with each other. Hybrids have no inherent drive to prey upon humans and despite their inhuman physical traits, perceive the world and those around them inherently through a human lens. This causes results in the two being more capable of understanding each other and being more apt to choose peace rather than prolonging conflict. Their are still human concerns about the nature of the Hybrids that often causes racism and discrimination, but over the last few centuries many amends were made by humanity to correct their past actions. However with the advent of the Hybrid Republic's more Nationalistic stance on non-hybrid species inferiority, the progress made seems to show steady regression.
Monsters
The relationship between monsters and Hybrids has always been sour. Monsters generally see hybrids as inferior sub-monster creatures who's monster lineage has been tainted by human seed. In fact when the first hybrids began to appear, while humanity was fearful and confused about how to react to hybrids, monster-kind was immediately hostile to them and in many cases still are. It does not help that a hybrids mental disposition and world view is more akin to their human progenitors rather than their monster progenitor. this cause them, like humans; to have extreme troubles in reconciling peace with them. In current events, the Hybrillian Republic's aggressive action have only stood to stoke flames of an already raging fire.
