Supernova
Supernova is a destructive magic in the school of Evocation and within the field of Astral magic. It is of the Fire and Gravity elements. Lady Medari is known to use this spell in her field of Astral magic.
Effect
The effect is intense heat and gravity pressure on the targets around the center of this spell. It feels like you are getting seared and crushed at the same time. The Pain is immense and once someone has had this spell hit them, they are often incapacitated or killed.
If you endure the pain, you may simply pass out.
Side/Secondary Effects
The spell can give burns if exposed for a long time. Supernova is quite literatly a mgic that mimic a sun exploding, just immensly minaturised. If this spell is botched, the consequences could be painful, as the amount of energy to cast this master level spell is immense in its own.
Manifestation
A brilliant ball of light erupts at the target area that engulfs in flame and growls larger with every second, getting hotter and hotter. Its a ever growing ball of blinding light that can dim even the brightest of locations and give a sort of tunnel vision. The sound is a roaring eruption that ends with a mssive explosion of light and energy, usualy fire.
Source
The magic of Astral Magic is pulled from the astral bodies that are seen from Gaia, and usually fueled by Leylines that run as Gaia's 'blood'. This one can also be pulled from the very sun that is seen in gaia's sky. One must have knowldeg of the stars and constellations as well as celstial bodies the be able to call upon this field of magic.
Discovery
Supernova has only been seen a handfull of times by astral mages. The Dragon, Lady Medari has this spell in her knowledge as a last resort. Often during an "overdrive' moment. She instead calls it Draco-Flare, which is a varient of Supernova cast by Dragon mages.
Gestures & Ritual
Hands or Claws are clasped into a ball before the mage, who then focuses on the space in thier hands, They slowly 'rip' open the space which ignites a spark of light, which only draws upon the Ley lines that are being fed into the spell. To "aim" this spell, mages often use the top of thier hands once clasped, to set it's focal point to where the spell will manifest and trigger.
